Two-time Scottish women's champion Rebecca Morrison has stepped away from competitive curling.
Morrison made the announcement Friday on social media.
"This has been the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make, but one I am doing for many reasons," Morrison wrote in the post. "The Olympics was the most special experience of my life and I will think about the happy memories from there every single day. I feel so proud of the performance we put in, and so am glad to feel like I am leaving on a positive note."
Morrison won back-to-back Scottish women's titles in 2022 and 2023. She also earned a silver medal at the European Curling Championships last year plus bronze medals in 2022 and 2024.
The 29-year-old made her Grand Slam of Curling series debut at the 2023 Tour Challenge and skipped her squad to a quarterfinal finish.
Team Morrison switched things up in 2024, with lead Sophie Jackson taking over skip duties.
Morrison, who continued to throw last rocks, competed in two Grand Slam major tournaments this season and also finished runner-up in the AMJ Masters Tier 2 event.
She made her Olympic debut this year in Milano Cortina as Great Britain finished sixth in the women's tournament with a 5-4 record. Morrison was ranked first among curlers at the fourth position with an 81.6 shooting percentage.
