The roaring game is returning to ESPN this fall.
The Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League announced Wednesday a new three-year agreement with ESPN, delivering more than 300 hours of live curling coverage to American fans across ESPN+ on the ESPN App this upcoming season.
Featuring the top teams from around the world, including Minnesota’s Team Casper, the Grand Slam of Curling circuit consists of five marquee events offering the largest prize purses on tour split equally between the men’s and women’s divisions.
The season kicks off with the GSOC Invitational, Oct. 13-18, in Victoria.
“Having ESPN broadcasting this much curling is so huge for the sport in our country,” said skip Danny Casper. “We take growing the game here really seriously, and we’re extremely excited for more people to get the chance to see just how special our sport really is.”
Rock League, curling’s first professional league, made its debut on ESPN+ on the ESPN App this past April and will return for an expanded second season starting in January 2027.
Six mixed-gender global franchises, including American-based Frontier Curling Club, will compete across five select weeks in various formats from men’s and women’s fours to mixed doubles and more.
“I’m incredibly excited about this partnership with ESPN and what it means for the future of curling in the U.S.," said Frontier Curling Club captain Korey Dropkin. "Making the sport more accessible to American audiences is a huge step forward, and I can’t wait for more fans to experience everything that makes curling and Rock League so special.”
“One of the things I love about Rock League is that it shows a different side of curling,” added Frontier Curling Club’s Cory Thiesse. “It’s fast, it’s mixed-gender and it brings a whole new energy to the game.
“Having ESPN behind it gives us an amazing opportunity to bring that experience to more fans across the U.S., which is really exciting to be part of.”
Both the Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League are owned and operated by The Curling Group.
"This agreement with ESPN represents a major milestone in our continued commitment to growing curling in the United States and around the world," said Nic Sulsky, The Curling Group co-founder and CEO. "By bringing both the Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League to ESPN, we ensure these incredible performances are available to a broader audience.”
Full broadcast details will be announced closer to the start of the season.
