German skip Marc Muskatewitz has stepped back from the tour.

His men's team announced on social media Thursday that Muskatewitz left for personal reasons, but he will continue to play in Rock League.

"Our time together has been very defining for us as a team. We celebrated successes, overcame challenges, and grew both athletically and as a unit," the team said in the post. "Marc played an important role both on and off the ice and had a significant impact on shaping our team."

"We are very grateful for his commitment, his reliability, and the many moments we shared."

Muskatewitz represented Germany eight times at the World Men's Curling Championship and made his Olympic debut this year in Milano Cortina.

He joined forces with Benjamin Kapp, Felix Messenzehl and Johannes Scheuerl in 2023.

Muskatewitz upset Scotland's Bruce Mouat in the final of the 2024 European Curling Championships, as his group became the first German team to capture the men's title in 20 years.

With Muskatewitz stepping back, alternate Mario Trevisiol will now become a full-time member of the team.

The 30-year-old Muskatewitz competed with Alpine Curling Club during the debut season of Rock League two weeks ago and reached the semifinals.
