Skip Kayla Skrlik and her Calgary-based club are breaking up.

The team, featuring Skrlik, third Margot Flemming, second Ashton Skrlik and lead Geri-Lynn Ramsay, announced the news Wednesday on social media. The team also thanked coaches Crystal Rumberg and Shannon Kleibrink for their support.

"The past few seasons together have been incredibly special," the team said in the post. "From competing at the Olympic Trials, Scotties, and Grand Slam events to the countless hours on the ice, on the road, and everything in between, we’re proud of everything we accomplished as a team.

"More than the results, we’ll always cherish the friendships, memories, and experiences we shared along the way. We’re grateful for the support from our families, fans, sponsors, and everyone who followed our journey."

Ramsay joined forces with the Skrlik sisters in 2021, with Flemming linking up in 2024.

The team won Alberta provincial playdowns last season and finished fourth at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts after reaching the Page playoffs.

Skrlik pre-qualified for the Scotties this year via CTRS points but missed the championship round, finishing pool play with a 5-3 record. The team also went 2-5 in the Canadian Olympic curling trials.

They competed in three Grand Slam of Curling major tournaments and two Tier 2 tournaments over the past two seasons.

"While this chapter comes to an end, the memories will last a lifetime," the team said.
