The first-ever GSOC Military Invitational is happening this week during the KIOTI GSOC Tahoe in Stateline, Nev.

Inspired by the energy and camaraderie of the U.S. Naval Academy curling team during last season’s TCG All-Star Game in Nashville, the event brings together active-duty personnel and veteran curlers from across Canada and the United States for a four-day celebration of teamwork, competition, and connection.

“This isn’t just a bonspiel, it’s a thank you,” said Nic Sulsky, CEO & co-founder of The Curling Group. “We’re honoured to create a stage where service members can compete, connect, and be celebrated by the entire curling community. The qualities that make someone a great curler — discipline, teamwork, and respect — are the same ones that define great service members. This event is about honouring that shared spirit.”

As the event takes place just days before Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the United States, it serves as a timely tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service of military members past and present.

The event features five teams: four U.S. and one Canadian.

Round-robin play will take place at Epic Curling Club (128 Market Street 1A).

The final will be played at the Tahoe Blue Event Center and streamed live on rockchannel.com.
