Italy's Joël Retornaz will keep on truckin' with a new lineup in 2026-27.

The four-time Grand Slam champ announced on Wednesday his team for next season, featuring third Stefano Gilli, second Andrea Gilli and lead Alberto Pimpini.

Stefano and Andrea Gilli previously played with skip Stefano Spiller. They captured gold at the World Junior Curling Championships in 2025 and earned silver this year. Stefano Gilli also skipped Italy to silver at the world juniors in 2024.

Pimpini served as the alternate on Retornaz's team in the past, including this year's Olympic Winter Games on home ice in Milano Cortina.

Retornaz became the first Italian skip to win a Grand Slam of Curling championship at the Masters in 2022. He claimed three consecutive Grand Slam titles during the 2023-24 season at the Tour Challenge, National and Masters and reached No. 1 in the world rankings.

Retornaz earned bronze medals at the World Men's Curling Championship in 2022 and 2024.

The 42-year-old also competed with Alpine Curling Club during the debut season of Rock League earlier this month in Toronto and reached the semifinals.

Retornaz parted ways with third Amos Mosaner, second Sebastiano Arman and lead Mattia Giovanella at the end of this season.

Mosaner and Arman have joined forces with Stefano and Cesare Spiller for 2026-27.
