Mike McEwen is heading to free agency.
McEwen announced Thursday on social media that his Saskatoon-based teammates — third Colton Flasch, second Kevin Marsh and lead Daniel Marsh — have "chosen a different path" without him for next season.
"Dug deep and gave it everything," McEwen said in the post. "Some great runs and results together, and I'll always be grateful for the incredible support from Saskatchewan.
"I may be getting older, but the fire's still very much there. The rocks don't seem to care."

The Winnipeg-based skip linked up with Flasch and the Marsh twins in 2023. The team has competed in the past three Brier tournaments and finished runner-up during their first season together in 2024.
McEwen posted a 5-3 record in the Brier earlier this month but missed the playoffs. He tied Manitoba's Braden Calvert and New Brunswick's James Grattan for the third and final spot from their pool. Since all three teams were also level on head-to-head records, Calvert advanced based on last stone draw averages.
Ranked No. 14 in the world, McEwen also finished third at the Canadian Olympic curling trials in November after losing to Matt Dunstone's team in the semifinal.
The 45-year-old McEwen has won seven Grand Slam of Curling titles in his career.
