John Epping will play out of Manitoba next season.

The Toronto-based skip announced his new team on Wednesday, featuring third B.J. Neufeld, second Ryan Wiebe and lead Ian McMillan.

Epping and McMillan played together for the past two seasons with Jake and Tanner Horgan. They represented Northern Ontario at the Montana's Brier last year but missed the Canadian men's curling championship this season after finishing runners-up in playdowns.

The team, ranked No. 9 in the world, won the AMJ Shorty Jenkins Classic in September and qualified for the playoffs in three Grand Slam of Curling events, reaching the semifinals at the CO-OP Tour Challenge in October.

The Horgan brothers opted to move on and joined up with Alberta's Brendan Bottcher and Geoff Walker.

Epping has won four Grand Slam of Curling titles during his career, including three as a skip.

Neufeld won the Brier and a silver medal at the World Men's Curling Championship in 2019 with Kevin Koe. He also captured seven Grand Slams with Mike McEwen. The Winnipeg native started the Olympic cycle with Matt Dunstone until parting ways in December 2024. He then joined Reid Carruthers's team the following month.

Wiebe, from Winnipeg, spent the past two seasons playing third for Whitby-based Sam Mooibroek and represented Ontario at the Brier last season.

McMillan, who was born in Dryden, Ont., and lives in Winnipeg, won the Tour Challenge Tier 2 title in 2017 with Jason Gunnlaugson.
