
The games are set for the Co-op Canadian Open, Nov. 5-10, at the Silent Ice Center in Nisku, Alberta.
The second Grand Slam of Curling event of the season features 16 of the top men’s teams and 16 of the top women’s teams from around the world. Qualification for the Co-op Canadian Open was based on the World Curling Federation’s world team rankings as of Oct. 8. In the event a team declined, the next-ranked team received an invitation.

Teams will play four round-robin games with the top eight overall in both divisions advancing to the playoffs. If necessary, tiebreaker games will be played to determine the final spots.
Scotland’s Team Bruce Mouat and Canada’s Team Rachel Homan return as the defending champions after capturing the titles last season in Red Deer, Alberta. Mouat completed a career Grand Slam with a 6-5 victory over Team Brendan Bottcher in the men’s final while Homan claimed a record-extending 15th Grand Slam of Curling women’s title with a thrilling 5-4 extra-end win over Team Silvana Tirinzoni.
Mouat kicked off the 2024-25 Grand Slam of Curling tour winning the HearingLife Tour Challenge men’s title in Charlottetown following a decisive 10-3 win over Team Brad Gushue. Canada’s Team Kerri Einarson earned the women’s title with a 5-4 win over Homan.
