Format

Both divisions are split into four pools of four teams for round-robin play. Teams were seeded based on the world rankings entering the season, plus one Satellite qualifier per pool.

Teams will play four round-robin games: three against the teams within their pool plus one crossover game. Pool A crosses over against Pool D, and Pool B vs. Pool C. Crossover games are based on seeding within the pools with No. 1 vs. No. 3 and No. 2 vs. No. 4.

A team may blank an end only once per game. A second blank will result in a loss of the hammer.

Each team has 29 minutes of thinking time, plus two 60-second timeouts. If a team runs out of thinking time, they cannot throw anymore stones for the remainder of the eight-end match.

There are no extra ends during preliminary play, tiebreakers and quarterfinals. A shootout will determine the winning team. The team that would have had the hammer in the extra end gets to choose to throw first or second. If both teams cover the pin, the same players will throw again but with no brushing.

Teams receive three points for a regulation win (eight ends or fewer), two points for a shootout win and one point for a shootout loss.

Extra end (semifinals and finals only): Each team gets four minutes of thinking time, and one 60-second timeout, regardless of how much thinking time and how many timeouts they had after eight ends.

The top eight teams will advance to the quarterfinals. If necessary, one tiebreaker draw will be played Saturday morning.
