Kevin Koe has captured six Grand Slam championships in his career, including five as a skip.

His most recent title victory in the series came at the 2023 Players’ Championship — and in thrilling fashion. Down by two points and with his thinking time clock winding down, Koe pulled off a tough triple takeout to score three points and defeat Yannick Schwaller to win the trophy.

Koe’s Calgary-based club, No. 27 in the world rankings, also includes third Aaron Sluchinski, second Tyler Tardi and lead Karrick Martin.

Making it extra special for Koe is that the Co-op Tour Challenge will also feature the inaugural Jr. GSOC U25 and U15 events, which begin Oct. 16 at the Beaumont Curling Club in Beaumont, Alta. The finals will be played Oct. 19, alongside the Co-op Tour Challenge finals, at the Silent Ice Center. Koe's daughters, Ava and Lila, will both be competing in the U25 women's division.

The Co-op Tour Challenge features the top men’s and women’s teams from around the world.

Team Mouat and Team Einarson will return as the defending champions. Mouat defeated Team Gushue and Einarson edged Team Homan during last season’s finals in Charlottetown.
