It's the end of the line for Joël Retornaz's team.
The Italian group of Retornaz, third Amos Mosaner, second Sebastiano Arman and lead Mattia Giovanella announced Wednesday on social media that they are parting ways at the end of the season.
All four members are exploring new opportunities for the future, according to the post.
Team Retornaz won four Grand Slam of Curling championships during the quadrennial and earned a bronze medal at the 2024 World Men's Curling Championship.
Retornaz made history at the Masters in December 2022 by becoming the first from Italy to capture a Grand Slam title.
The team won three consecutive Grand Slams during the 2023-24 campaign — taking the Tour Challenge, National and Masters titles — and reached No. 1 in the world rankings.
They represented Italy on home ice at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and just missed the playoffs with a 4-5 record.
Retornaz opted not to compete in this year's World Men's Curling Championship to focus on Rock League. Stefano Spiller skipped Italy, which lost to Canada in the qualification round.
