LOCATION
The 2026 JR GSOC U21 event will take place at the Medicine Hat Curling Club: 880 2 St SE, Medicine Hat, AB, T1A 0E6.
DATES
Thursday, Nov. 5 to Sunday, Nov. 8.
FIELD
16 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams.
REGISTRATION
Registration will be open Monday, June 1, on thegrandslamofcurling.com and close Tuesday, June 30.
Applications will be reviewed, and the field will be selected by the GSOC Competition Committee and announced in the first week of August.
FORMAT
U21 is a round robin format. There will be no extra ends during the round robin. If teams are tied after eight ends, the teams will choose one player to draw to the button (DTB) to determine the winner.
Points during the round robin are allotted as follows: Regulation win = 3 points, OT DTB Win = 2 points, OT DTB Loss = 1 point, Regulation loss = 0 points.
Playoffs: The top eight teams move on to the playoffs and will be in the traditional 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5 format. Ties after eight ends in the playoffs will be determined by an extra end.

These will be sent two weeks prior to the event.
SCHEDULE
The schedule will be out two weeks prior to the event. The U21 event will start on Thursday, Nov. 5, with playoffs starting Saturday afternoon.
ENTRY FEE
Entry fee is $400.00.
PRIZE PURSE U21
$25,000 for U21 men and $25,000 for U21 women.
SUNDAY FINALS
The finals will take place Sunday, Nov. 8, on Grand Slam of Curling ice at Co-op Place in Medicine Hat, AB. Times will be determined in August.
