FORMAT

Both divisions are split into two pools of six teams. Teams will play five games during the round-robin stage against teams within their pools.

The top six teams overall advance to the quarterfinals, with the best two receiving byes to the semifinals. If necessary, one tiebreaker draw will be played to determine the final playoff berths.

Shootouts: If a game is tied after eight ends during the round-robin stage, teams will draw to the button to determine the winner.

Round-Robin Points System: Regulation win = 3 points; shootout win = 2 points; shootout loss = 1 point; regulation loss = 0 points.

Extra Ends: If a game is tied after eight ends during the tiebreakers or playoffs, teams will play an extra end.

Blank Ends: Each team is allowed to blank only one end per game. If a second blank occurs, the team will lose the hammer in the next end.

Time/Timeouts: Each team will have 30 minutes of thinking time, plus two 90-second timeouts.

QUALIFICATION

The top 12 teams from the World Curling year-to-date rankings as of Dec. 15 will be invited to participate.

If a team declines its invitation, the next team on the rankings will be invited until the field is complete.
