
Team Yoshimura and Team Abe came out on top at the Hokkaido Bank Curling Classic in Sapporo, Japan.
Yoshimura defeated Team Tabata 6-3 during Sunday's women's final in a matchup between two of the top teams in the world. Yoshimura is eighth in the world rankings, with Tabata right behind in ninth.
Team Fujisawa, the winner of last week's Wakkanai Midori Challenge Cup, finished third with an 8-1 rout over Team Kitazawa.
Yoshimura topped Kitazawa 9-7 in the semifinals to advance to the championship game. Tabata beat Fujisawa 5-4 in the other semifinal.
Abe upended Team Noguchi 6-1 to take the men's title.
Wakkanai Midori Challenge Cup men's champ Team Maeda beat Team Yamaguchi 9-5 for third place.
Abe edged Yamaguchi 5-4 and Noguchi doubled up on Maeda 10-5 in the semifinals.
