Grace Lloyd scored a deuce in the eighth end to edge You-been Park 5-4 and win the Saville U25 Challenge women's title Monday in Edmonton.

Lloyd gave up the tying steal in the seventh after her in-off takeout attempt missed the shot stone, but she nailed the open tap on her last coming home to lift her Whitby, Ontario, team over the South Korean club for the championship.

Meanwhile, Team Peter Hlushak captured the Saville U25 Challenge men's title after scoring three in the seventh and stealing one in the eighth to defeat Team Jaxon Hiebert in the all-Edmonton final.

The Saville U25 Challenge is part of the new GSOC Satellite Events series. This season, the Grand Slam of Curling has partnered with select tour events to create new avenues for teams to qualify for the top-flight series.

Lloyd and Hlushak will receive invitations to the GSOC Masters, Nov. 3-8, in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
