MEDICINE HAT, Alta. — Rachelle Brown will come off the bench to play lead this week on Rachel Homan's team for the GSOC P&H Masters at Co-op Place.

Brown will step in for Sarah Wilkes, who is out of the lineup due to an injury, the team said Tuesday ahead of the event.

The Ottawa-based club also includes third Tracy Fleury and second Emma Miskew.

Brown has served as Team Homan's alternate for the past few seasons, winning back-to-back Scotties Tournament of Hearts and world championships in 2024 and 2025, plus an Olympic bronze medal earlier this year.

She also captured the 2023 Champions Cup at lead when Wilkes was on maternity leave.

Before joining Team Homan, Brown claimed three Grand Slam of Curling titles as the lead for skip Val Sweeting and also won the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with skip Chelsea Carey.

The world No. 5 Homan is looking to rebound after missing the playoffs in her tour season debut last month at the GSOC Co-op Invitational.

Homan, who has won a record 20 Grand Slams, begins play Tuesday against Edmonton's Team Selena Sturmay.
