Switzerland will have a new pair of reps at the world championships.
Team Xenia Schwaller and Team Marco Hoesli came out on top at the Swiss Curling Championships in Bern.
Schwaller defeated Team Silvana Tirinzoni 7-3 and Hoesli topped Team Yannick Schwaller 5-4 in the decisive games of their best-of-three finals Saturday.
Both Tirinzoni and Yannick Schwaller had just competed at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and earned medals last weekend. Tirinzoni claimed women's silver and Yannick Schwaller captured men's bronze.
The four-time world champion Tirinzoni won 6-5 in an extra end during Game 1 of the best-of-three final on Friday night, before Xenia Schwaller won 7-5 in Game 2 earlier Saturday to set up the rubber match.
Yannick Schwaller won 6-1 in Game 1, with Hoesli taking Game 2 by a score of 6-4 in an extra end.
Xenia Schwaller will represent Switzerland at the World Women's Curling Championship, March 14-22 in Calgary, with Hoesli suiting up at the World Men's Curling Championship, March 27–April 4 in Ogden, Utah.
Both Tirinzoni and Yannick Schwaller earned silver medals at the worlds last year.
