The Grand Slam of Curling is returning to Manitoba for the Players’ Championship, Jan. 6-11, 2026, at Steinbach’s Southeast Event Centre.
And what an event it will be. The fifth and final Grand Slam of Curling tournament of the season features the top-ranked men’s and women’s teams from around the world and will serve as the final major test before the Olympic Games in Italy.
"It’s been far too long," Winnipeg skip Matt Dunstone said when the event was announced in April. "I think 2018 Elite 10 was the last one and then Selkirk 2014 Masters before, so there have been very few far and in between. Outside of a provincial championship, we haven’t been able to play in Manitoba, where our team is obviously based out of.
"I’m excited to go and play my first Slam in Manitoba, and we’re going to have a lot of people cheering us on."

Both men's and women's divisions will feature 12 teams invited from the World Curling team rankings.
