Team Lawes will have a legend of the game on the bench this season.

The Winnipeg squad — skip Kaitlyn Lawes, third Selena Njegovan, second Jocelyn Peterman and lead Kristin Gordon — announced Thursday on Instagram that Marcel Rocque will coach the club for 2025-26.

Rocque was the longtime lead for skip Randy Ferbey. Along with vice skip David Nedohin and second Scott Pfeifer, the famous "Ferbey Four" captured three world championships and four Brier titles.

The 54-year-old from St. Paul, Alberta, also earned four Grand Slam of Curling titles, claiming three with Ferbey and one with skip Kevin Martin.

He previously coached Team Homan as well as the Chinese national teams.

Connor Njegovan, husband of Selena Njegovan, served as coach for Team Lawes during the past two seasons.

Lawes enters the season ranked 20th in the world.
