The games are locked in for the Crown Royal Players' Championship.

The fifth and final Grand Slam of Curling event of the season is set for Jan. 6-11, 2026, at the Southeast Event Centre in Steinbach, Man. Tickets are now available, visit GSOCtickets.com to purchase yours today.

The top 12 men's teams and top 12 women's teams from the World Curling year-to-date team rankings as of Monday were invited to compete in the Crown Royal Players' Championship. In the event a team declined, the next team on the rankings received an invitation.

Both divisions are split into two groups of six teams for pool play. The top six teams qualify for the playoffs, with the best two receiving byes to the semifinals.

Silvana Tirinzoni and her Swiss squad will be chasing history as they look to become the first team to win three consecutive titles in the prestigious event. Canada's Rachel Homan and her world No. 1 team, who were runners-up to Tirinzoni last season, aim to continue their stellar season and complete a career Grand Slam.

World No. 1 Bruce Mouat and his Scottish team headline the men's field as the defending champions. Mouat made history after winning the event last April by becoming the first to capture four Grand Slam of Curling titles in a single season.

The event will serve as a homecoming for Manitoba teams skipped by Kerri Einarson and Matt Dunstone. Winnipeg's Mike McEwen will also be in action with his Saskatoon-based squad. The Crown Royal Players' Championship marks the first Grand Slam event to take place in Manitoba since the Elite 10 in March 2018.

It'll also be the final major tune-up for teams heading to Milano Cortina. Seven men's teams and six women's teams in the Crown Royal Players' Championship will compete in the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
