Eun-ji Gim was victorious in Vernon, B.C.
Gim and her South Korean club claimed the Prestige Hotels and Resorts Curling Classic women's title with a 5-2 victory over Japan's Team Yuina Miura in Sunday's final.
Trailing 2-1 entering the fifth end, Gim grabbed the lead as fourth Min-ji Kim made a great angle raise to score three critical points.
Gim stole one in the seventh and ran Miura out of rocks in the eighth.
Team Gim posted a perfect 8-0 record in the tournament, including wins over Team Taylor Reese-Hansen in the quarterfinals and Team Bo-bae Kang, skipped by Kyeong-ae Kim, in the semifinals.
The Prestige Hotels and Resorts Curling Classic is part of the Satellite Events series, with the winning teams qualifying for the final spots in the GSOC Co-op Invitational, Oct. 13-18, in Victoria.
Since Gim was already selected to compete in the Grand Slam of Curling tournament, Miura will receive the berth, should her team accept.
The Prestige Hotels and Resorts Curling Classic continues Monday with the men's playoffs. Stream the action live on CurlingZone's YouTube page.
