Team Whyte officially announced on Tuesday that Craig Waddell has joined as a fifth player.

The Scottish squad said Waddell will sub at second as Duncan McFadzean is recovering from a knee injury.

Waddell filled in for McFadzean at the Baden Masters and Euro Super Series events to start the season.

The 30-year-old Waddell also subbed for McFadzean at the Grand Slam of Curling’s National last season and for lead Euan Kyle at the 2024 Players’ Championship. He had played third for his brother Kyle Waddell over the past three years.

Team Whyte, ranked No. 5 in the world, will compete in the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard this weekend.
