The Co-op Invitational will have a long-term impact on the local curling community.
Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle during the season's first GSOC event, held Oct. 13-18 at Victoria's Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, helped the Esquimalt Curling Club reach its fundraising goal for new curling stones.
The club has purchased the new stones that will be used starting next season.
