- Curling legend Brad Gushue makes full-time analyst debut -
- Gushue joins Joanne Courtney, Jennifer Jones, Brent Laing, Darren Dupont and John Cullen in the broadcast booth -
TORONTO (Sept. 14, 2026) With one month to go until the Grand Slam of Curling (GSOC) season gets underway, the series today announced the broadcast team who will bring insider expertise, action and stories from the sport’s biggest events to fans across Sportsnet and CBC in Canada, ESPN in the U.S., and internationally on Rock Channel.
The GSOC broadcast team brings together new voices, curling legends, and familiar faces from across the sport, combining 56 Grand Slam titles of experience with expert analysis throughout the 2026 season.
The 2026 GSOC broadcast team:
• Brad Gushue, Analyst – One of Canada’s most decorated and celebrated curlers, Olympic gold and bronze medallist, and 15-time Grand Slam champion. Gushue makes his debut as a full-time analyst this season following his retirement from competitive curling last season.
• Joanne Courtney, Analyst – Following a decorated curling career that included the 2017 Scotties and World Championship titles, eight Grand Slam titles, and an Olympic appearance, Courtney has established herself as one of curling’s most recognizable broadcast voices.
• Jennifer Jones, Analyst – Widely regarded as one of the greatest curlers of all time - with an Olympic gold medal, two world championship titles, six Canadian championship wins, and 17-time Grand Slam titles - Jones returns to the GSOC broadcast booth this season.
• Brent Laing, Analyst – Olympian, three-time world champion, and 16-time Grand Slam champion, Laing makes his GSOC broadcast debut this season after providing streaming commentary for the last two seasons on Rock Channel.
• Darren Dupont, Host and Play-by-Play– Making his debut in the GSOC broadcast booth, Dupont has a career that spans several sports, with championship calls in football, hockey, and curling.
• John Cullen, Host and Play-by-Play – Former competitive curler and award-winning podcaster, Cullen joined GSOC’s streaming coverage in 2024 on Rock Channel. Following that, he made his live television debut with Rock League on CBC in the Spring of 2026.

As previously announced, Canadian fans will experience the most extensive television coverage in GSOC history this coming season, with Sportsnet televising three draws daily from Tuesday through Friday at every event. The action then moves to CBC, the free CBC Gem streaming service, and Sportsnet+ for Saturday's playoff games, before returning to Sportsnet for the championship finals on Sundays.* Morning games (Tuesday-Saturday) will be live-streamed via Rock Channel.
CBC Sports reporter Devin Heroux will be on-site for all Grand Slam of Curling events, reporting for CBC and keeping audiences informed on social media. Plus, the fan-favourite digital series That Curling Show returns this fall, featuring conversations with curlers and analysts throughout the season.
In the U.S., ESPN will become the U.S. streaming home of the GSOC, delivering live coverage from all five events throughout the season on ESPN+ on the ESPN App.
