After a career that included an appearance at the 2018 Olympics following a 2017 Scotties and World Championship win, and eight Grand Slam titles, Joanne Courtney has become synonymous with curling broadcasting, having been a fixture in the booth since her retirement from curling in 2022. After getting an offer to call the 2022 Olympics for CBC, Courtney immediately became a fan favourite on the mic, and began to cover the sport for TSN’s Season of Champions.
With four years of covering the Brier, Scotties, and World Championships and two Olympics under her belt, Courtney worked with The Curling Group last year on Rock League’s inaugural season, and will now be joining The Curling Group for the 2026-27 season. In addition to her coverage in the broadcast booth, fans can expect more of Courtney’s coverage of the game on her social media pages, where she has become a renowned curling expert, walking fans through the game enthusiastically and with a great eye for detail.
