One of Newfoundland and Labrador’s most famous sons, Brad Gushue is also one of Canada’s most decorated athletes, having won a gold medal at the 2006 Olympics and a bronze in 2022. Brad played in a record number of Briers with 23 and holds the Brier records for most wins as a skip with six, most Brier games played with 279, and the most games won with 198. He also won a World Championship in 2017 and represented Canada at the World Mixed Doubles Championship in 2021. He’s third among skips on the Grand Slam of Curling titles list, with 15 victories.
Upon retiring from curling in 2026, Brad was named the High Performance Director for USA Curling and joined The Curling Group’s broadcast team for the 2026-27 season. With his vast experience as a skip and prior broadcasting experience for Sportsnet, fans eagerly await Brad’s next turn behind the microphone.
