Tour Challenge, Champions Cup added to 2015-16 schedule

The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling series is expanding again with the addition of two new events for 2015-16.

Kicking off the season will be the GSOC Tour Challenge, running Sept. 8-13 at the Paradise Double Ice Complex in Paradise, N.L. The Tour Challenge will feature 30 men’s and 30 women’s teams competing in a two-tier format tournament.

The Champions Cup concludes the season, running April 26 to May 1, 2016. The location and venue for this event will be announced soon.

The Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling started in 2001 as a four-tournament series and grew to five events this past season with the creation of the Elite 10. With seven events on tap for this upcoming season, an additional eighth tournament is planned to be introduced in 2016-17.
