Team Rocque donate to Fort McMurray wildfire relief efforts

Fort McMurray, Alta., is experiencing the worst fire-related evacuation in the province’s history with tens of thousands of residents forced to leave their homes and the curling community is doing their part to help out.

Kelsey Rocque and her Edmonton-based team have donated $500 to the Red Cross to assist those affected by the devastating wildfires and are encouraging other teams to match or surpass their amount.

Fort McMurray has hosted Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events in the past most recently the inaugural Elite 10 event in 2015.

Rogers has partnered with Red Cross, pledging a donation of $100,000 toward recovery efforts. If you wish to help out, text redcross to 45678 to make a $10 donation or to 30333 to make a $5 donation, or by clicking here.
