TEAM BIO

Mike McEwen, B.J. Neufeld, Matt Wozniak, and Denni Neufeld have won a total of six Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling titles together. They claimed their first at the 2010 World Cup of Curling (now known as the Masters) and earned title No. 2 later that season at the Canadian Open. They successfully defended their Canadian Open championship during the 2011-12 season posting an undefeated record at the event, which introduced the five-rock free guard zone rule.

Team McEwen was the hottest crew on tour during the 2014-15 season winning a total of eight titles. They reached the final at four of the five Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events that season capturing the National and inaugural Elite 10 championships while finishing runner-up at the Masters and the Players’ Championship.

McEwen was a finalist at the Manitoba provincial championship five times in six years before finally capturing the crown in 2016. The team finished fourth in their first Brier falling to Northern Ontario’s Brad Jacobs in the bronze match but turned the tables in 2017 to earn the bronze medal.
