Team Bio

Brad Jacobs and his cousins E.J. Harnden and Ryan Harnden have curled together since they were kids and joined forces on the tour circuit in 2008-09 with their current coach Caleb Flaxey at lead. Team Jacobs made their Grand Slam of Curling series debut at the 2010 National. Although they did not make the playoffs, future teammate Ryan Fry won his first Grand Slam title at the event with Team Gushue.

Team Jacobs added Fry in 2012 and the team clicked together immediately. They won the Tim Hortons Brier at the 2013 Brier and captured a silver medal for Canada at the world championship.

After qualifying via the pre-trials, Team Jacobs rolled right through the 2013 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials posting an undefeated record to represent Canada at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. After starting 1-2 in the Olympic tournament, Team Jacobs didn’t lose another game on the way to the gold medal.

Jacobs was a finalist at three Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling events before winning his first major at the 2015 Players’ Championship.

Team Jacobs captured the National in their hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., in December 2016 and closed out the season earning the Humpty’s Champions Cup in April 2017.
