Pinty’s GSOC featured on NASCAR truck in Canadian race

No you weren’t seeing things, that really was the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling featured on Brett Moffitt’s vehicle during Sunday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in Canada.

The series sponsored the No. 11 Toyota Tundra for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ont.

Moffitt’s Red Horse Racing truck featured the Pinty’s Grand Slam of Curling logo on the hood plus curling rocks along the rear quarter panels.

The 24-year-old Moffitt, from Grimes, Iowa, was looking to keep the momentum going after earning his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory last weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

Moffitt qualified sixth for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 and was running in the top 10 until contact with another truck meant an unexpected pit stop for repairs. After dropping to P24, Moffitt didn’t give up and charged back to cross the finish line in 16th.

John Hunter Nemechek edged pole-sitter Cole Custer to take the checkered flag in a wild ending as the two battled to the line and off the track. The tension continued after the race and out of the trucks as Custer confronted Nemchek and tackled him to the ground.
