PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. — Kevin Martin edged Edmonton rival Kevin Koe 6-5 to win the National Grand Slam of Curling title.

Martin finished the tournament with a perfect 8-0 record. He defeated Halifax’s Scott Adams 6-2 in the quaterfinals and topped former teammate Don Walchuk 5-3 in the semis.

It’s the second consecutive Grand Slam championship for the rink of Martin, third John Morris, second Marc Kennedy and lead Ben Hebert after they won the Canadian Open in January.
