Wayne Middaugh tops Jeff Stoughton to win Masters

SUDBURY, Ont. — Wayne Middaugh, from Midland, Ont., defeated Winnipeg’s Jeff Stoughton 5-2 to win the Masters Grand Slam of Curling title.

The rink of Middaugh, Graeme McCarrel, Joe Frans and Scott Bailey earned $30,000 with the victory.

Edmonton’s Kevin Martin beat Halifax’s Mark Dacey 9-7 in the third-place match.
