Fujisawa, Morozumi win ADVICS Cup in Japan
Team Satsuki Fujisawa was victorious at the ADVICS Cup on home ice in Kitami, Japan, bouncing China’s Team Jie Mei in a 6-3 set during Sunday’s final.
Fujisawa finished the tournament posting a perfect 6-0 record.
Team Yusuke Morozumi went 5-1 on the men’s side including a 7-6 extra-end victory over Team Jongduk Park of South Korea in the final.
Winnipeg’s Team Jason Gunnlaugson was the lone Canadian entry in the tournament and missed the four-team playoff ending with a 2-2 round-robin record.
